Nubie to VPS (need help)
I'm nubie to VPS, totally 0% of knowledge about VPS. My friend said that I should ask to webhostingtalk.com.
I need to use a software named Meta Trader which need to connect to internet 24/5, without any disconnection. My internet connection is poor, with many of disconnect. So I need to put it on other comp with a perfect internet connection. My friends said that I can use VPS.
Is that true? How to use it? is VPS same concept as remote admin, with desktop remote? Please anyone who can help me... please.

Sounds like you kinda figured it out yourself. You can use Remote Desktop if its a windows machine, or if you are going to use a linux vps, you can install a kde desktop and vnc into it.

No, a VPS is a "virtual private server." It's your virtual server environment, which acts similar to a dedicated server.
You can get a remote desktop program installed on a Linux VPS, though, which are generally cheaper than Windows VPSes. However, you'll need a Windows VPS if the program you want to run is only available for Windows.

As long as your program can run on linux, i would get a cheap unmanaged centos vps, install kde onto it (theres a tutorial here in the VPS section) and then use realvnc from your pc to connect to it.
edit - looks like meta trader is windowz only, i would get a 2003 server and setup just the regular remote desktop.

Got it
Oke then...... i got it now. Somebody just send me email, explaining all about VPS, and now I know about meta trader too.
Here what I know.
VPS is a dedicated server which is a computer rented for me with an high speed internet connection, where i can remote it from my computer. So With RDC software provided in windows, I can control it just exactly same as my computer. I can download meta trader and install it there.
Oke then.... maybe its very beginner, but maybe some nubie like me can use it as information.
@All
Thanks for you help and your respond.
