Crissic down for 2 days, no reply, what to do?
Hello everyone,
I'm a customer of crissic and now their server is down for about 40hours.
And Skylar is not responding again.
Anyone else having my problem?
What should I do?
Can anyone from LSN help me and restart his server? This time is much worse than Cpanel license being expired. At least at that time websites worked...

I think he's talking about his site www.0upload.com, in his signature, which is not loading.

I doubt LSN will be able to help you out in this matter, but you sure that the main node is down? What is your ip address to access HyperVM?

Guys, as you may know most companies host their main websites with different DC. Which crissic main website is hosted on solarVPS dc.
On hypervm it says it cannot connect to the main node.
Its surely a downtime since I've had these downtimes before but not for 2 days. now whats the solution?

What is the IP address to access the main node? If your getting a response from HyperVM than it appears to be an issue related to just your VPS.

There was in issue with the kid a few weeks back, where it took I think it was 7 days for a simple response to a cpanel license issue. He only responded after the guy posted a thread on WHT (which was 7 days after the issue started and still no response) and then received a response from Skylar on here.
We asked Skylar if he could announce it publicly why in the world it took 7 days for such a simple issue and he refused to give one, stating any client can email him with your name and email on file to receive more information. Sorry, but IMO thats very wrong to hide something like that, can you imagine how many months it would take for a real issue, if it took 7 days for a simple cpanel license?
I'm sure it'll be the same case here...I just don't get why people keep cutting the kid so much slack, with issue after issue.

I would personally moved away from Crissic after the cPanel licensing issue, I'm surprised you didn't. If it is the same case as last time and is something very simple which shouldn't of happened - I recommend you really move.

Skylar hasn't been online that much at all and I've been told by a 'source' that there's nobody else on his team either, so it's a tough call.

After running several dig's and nslookup's on both 0upload.com and crissic.com, I am seeing that crissic.com is responding but all I get when I do any lookup for 0upload.com is no servers can be reached.
Here is one output of my dig for 0upload.com using a Public DNS server:
dig @4.2.2.2 0upload.com
; <<>> DiG 9.3.4-P1.1 <<>> @4.2.2.2 0upload.com
; (1 server found)
;; global options: printcmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
and here is one output of my dig for crissic.com using a Public DNS server:
dig @4.2.2.2 crissic.com
; <<>> DiG 9.3.4-P1.1 <<>> @4.2.2.2 crissic.com
; (1 server found)
;; global options: printcmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 2202
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0
;; QUESTION SECTION:
;crissic.com. IN A
;; ANSWER SECTION:
crissic.com. 500 IN A 66.71.246.163
;; Query time: 263 msec
;; SERVER: 4.2.2.2#53(4.2.2.2)
;; WHEN: Mon Dec 15 15:40:06 2008
;; MSG SIZE rcvd: 45
I would suggest there there is a DNS issue also, could be the records were deleted and after the TTL expired everyone updated and removed the record for 0upload.com.
If you know the IP that was assigned to 0upload.com, can you hit that IP? If so then there might be just a DNS issue. But if not, then there is more than just the server being down.
Its probably time to move your hosting to a different company, it shouldn't take 7 or even 2 days to respond to an outage issue.
