KVM-over-IP for BIOS Access

Hi
We are using a AdderLink IP which is connected to some AdderView Matrix KVM Switches. The big problem is, that the AdderLink IP is quite slow switchting to the right screen resolution. This means, I have no chance to access the bios, because before I can press the DELL button to enter the bios, I have to syncronise the screen resolution to get access to the Keyboard and press the DELL button. But the syncronisation takes about 5 seconds and therefore I'm too late pressing the DELL button.
Now I search a better KVM-Over-IP box, which I can connect to my AdderView Matrix KVM Switches. It's very important, that I don't need to synchronise anything before I can use the keyboard.
Can someone recommend such a box which don't need to syncronize at all? Or how are other companies accessing the bios?

Is your KVM able to stay synced if it has independent power? Would an independent power adapter help?

It styas synced as long as I don't change the resoultion. But during the boot process the server is changing several time the resolution and a manuell sync is needed all the time.
What KVM are you using? Do you also have this problem with your kvm?

KVM-over-IP for BIOS Access

Checkout the ServReach KVM over IP solution by a company called Black Box. We use the KVMCUBE and KVMULTIPORT units and the synch appears to be almost instantaneous. To date, we never a problem access the bios.

We've got an Adderlink KVM/IP -> Dell 2xxx and we don't have this problem. Is it actually the AdderView Matrix taking the time to adjust?

I think it depends on the server. With my old dell PE 850 I also did not have this problem. But with the Supermicro Server I have it. Mabe they are changing more often the resolution during startup.
Fred123, do you think I can use the KVMCUBE with the existing AdderView Matrix switches?

Have you tried just pressing del lots of time during bootup to try and get it into the BIOS? I think it still reads keypresses even if the screen is going mad
