why dose it keep saying "cpsrvd failed"

cpsrvd failed @ Mon Dec 1 01:01:12 2008. A restart was attempted automagically.
Failure Reason: Unable to connect to port 2086
I keep getting this via email.. can someone tell me what it means?
I did do a search before posting and i found thread but not exactly the same port error issue.

It means your cpanel port isn't opened or cpanel is down. Is your cpanel working?

If thus, then check your firewall settings, most likely it has an egress filtering for 2086 port. Cpanel monitoring script is not being able to connect with the port 2086 which is used by WHM.

Have you checked the port if its open or not?
Would you like to restart your cpanel?

From the server you do telnet <server main ip> 2086
Also do iptables -nL | grep 2086
and check the size of /usr/local/cpanel/logs files by the command
du -sh /usr/local/cpanel/logs/*
what are the results you got??

It successfully connects via telnet on port 2086
Added the -nL | grep 2086 in SHH. as for the log I get this
3.9M /usr/local/cpanel/logs/access_log
0 /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpdavd_error_log
0 /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cphulkd_errors.log
1.0M /usr/local/cpanel/logs/easy
0 /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
56K /usr/local/cpanel/logs/license_log
0 /usr/local/cpanel/logs/login_log
4.0K /usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log
4.0K /usr/local/cpanel/logs/tailwatchd_log

Is there any errors in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log ?
Also what is the result of
iptables -nL | grep 2086
got any output ?
Majoosh
