Wsservers.com
Hi.
I just want to know how many there are in the same situation like me...
I am a current customer with wsservers.com, with a vps for 10usd per month.
They have run great for most of the time. And given me some extra bonuses because of a small downtime in the start, so i got from 8 x 200 Mhz to 8 x 634 MHz.. So that was a huge step..
They were nice.
But they are somewhat down. Their mainsite www.wsservers.com is down. But if you type http://www.wsservers.com/awbs/hosting.php?pt=ds

I like you had a great run with ws for the most part. I have to say I truly liked how I was treated at first and they did assist me where other hosts would not have.
I lost my vps with them when the data center went down and then the main webpage went down leading me to believe they did in fact go under. Until you posted that link I thought the site was down for good. I just logged in and found I was still being charged for the vps that went down so I am going to remain convinced they are gone. I found a great special with nynoc that I am happy I took. Great pricing and have to say my sites are running better than ever.
Let us know what happens with WS

Yes, we would like to know what happened.
Anyways, i checked nynoc and they seem to be somewhat down ?!
Have you checked www.cheapvps.co.uk ? They often have some good specials.
And then there is the http://web-wide-hosting.co.nz/VPSBilling/cart.php
they are damn cheap and rock solid. A very nice owner. That are honest. I currently have a virtual backup server, with 40 gb hd, 100 mb ram and 100 mhz cpu.. for 5.80 usd pr month.

I think that happens to other VPS companies also. A HyperVM or Hardware problem.
Hope this helps.

I was going to reply with the same thing. I still believe they lost SO many customers from that one data center closing that they had to go under. I had a decent experience with them so if they had offered me a simple move to saidhost I might have taken it. When it came time for me to pay invoices and I could not I figured it was time to jump ship. I don't think anyone in the hosting community would ever disappear on payment day, isn't that a day everyone is around for?

Trent, I used cpanel for roughly 6 months when I jumped in. I found that I truly did not care for it or the pricing associated. With lxadmin (like so many), its a free and very controllable interface allowing me to actually do what I need to in a quicker manner.
Out all my friends who have been in hosting for more than 3 years I can not name a single one still using cpanel. Not bashing you for using it (it is an ok control panel) but I think the longer you staying in hosting, the more you might look to other control panels.

my old dedicated is still up, maybe they locked the cabinets and have the cables in anti cut sleeves . To be honest I haven't used it for weeks, I just keep expecting it to go off-line anytime and am shocked it still works.....WOW

I have roughly 15 dedicated servers with them, not 1 of them have gone offline. I've left Saidhost a long time ago, Funny how they claim there going bankrupt and the bank coming to get all the systems. This would have happened a long time ago if the information was true

Did they finally pull the plug for everyone else? My machine is now gone :/
It was a good run when it lasted. During all my recent issues I really started missing these guys.
RIP WSservers
