How good should the server be?

This is a pretty newb-ish question but I'd like to create a web site with 3-4 pages and host it on my own server. I'd also like to be able to host a small online game similar to Stick Online if you've heard, if not like 30-60 players on a 2-d map at a time.
Anyways I was interested in what kind of hardware I would need to do this. I pretty much don't have any idea so any thoughts/advice would be helpful.
