I can't believe how impolite Host Monster employees are!

Hi,
I was asking Host Monster employee very kindly to whitelist an IP because it was blocked by their server, he refused and told me "Goodbye" and disconnected from the chat immediately.
Obviously, this is just another "keep away from Host Monster/Bluehost" topic.

Would you mind posting the chat transscript so we can see?

Maybe because they can't whitelist it because the person from that IP caused serious problems.
Post the chat so we can see.

If that was the cause, why couldn't he have said "Sorry, we cannot do that."?

I'm assuming this occurred during a live chat session. I would recommend submitting a support ticket explaining your situation. I'm sure they'll be happy to whitelist an IP, providing it's justified.

Agreed. Sales reps cant really do anything... except sell.
Submit a ticket and you will get someone with server control.

If they blocked it, they probably had a reason to.

I didn't save the chat transcript. However, the IP was not blacklisted, I just needed it to be on the whitelist so I connect through SSH and so some RYSNC stuff.

The live support personnel should have stated what you said and in the tone you said it instead of being rude a disconecting the chat session without any attempt to help a client. Such a level of customer support is unacceptable.

Yes, and unless you were just unlucky enough to end up on a blacklisted IP there's not much you can do about it.
