Crucial Paradigm review (2 months)
A two month review of Crucial Paradigm.
I found webhostingtalk on Google (in 2004) and some forums as an excellent source for all needs on web hosting. I did a good research for a good company, service and support for my business - I was at A Small Orange before (you could check it on netcraft or call them).
My top choices are:GeekStorage (found on WHT)
Crucial Paradigm (found on mon.itor.us)
InnoHosting (found on WHT)
I all became their client, so I'll be having a review for them separately (my free time)
For Crucial Paradigm, this is where I stayed and here's my review.
Sign-up was hassle free, they even have a phone verification in placed (I think a service by MaxMind). Aaron, got me in no time (Within a day). Since, I am familiar with Unix/Linux it was very easy for me to navigate and setup my clients (few only, coming from a shared hosting plan) as well as CPanel and WHMCS, etc.
So the positive side / What I like: Excellent email support, really 24/7 (Anusha, Neeta, Gopi, Aaron - everyone). I sent around 110+ emails for 2/months and all was answered with great courtesy and very knowledgeable information. And, fast support around 5 to 10 min turn-around time (depends on the issue raised).
Uptime is also excellent, I never experienced network failures while I was with them (They're in Collo4Dallas). The server has been up for "190 days 19 hours 33 minutes" as of this writing.
I was placed on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5310 @ 1.60GHz (4 processor) with 8GB of ram.
I was on a Double space/bandwidth promo, and it was all good.
They use WHMCS (I like), I didn't like the interface of ClientExec.
Very Happy!
Acceptable client list, I've searched on myipneighbors.
The negative side / What I did not like: The extra IP for me was a bit pricey.
No phone support, although it is available on Crucial Paradigm in Australia.
A few restart of services at times, probably configuration by some other users - Please understand that in general, if you're on a reseller, most users have different needs and requirements. So expect this, until you have your own server. Server restart usually takes a few seconds.
Load sometimes shoots up, but service is still responsive. I emailed them right away.
So that ends my two months review of crucial paradigm, unfortunately I am moving out due to larger requirements and I wanted to have my very own server, so I invested on my very own (different provider). This will benefit my clients in the end.
Overall, If my requirements did not grew - I'll still stay with Crucial Paradigm, but I have to migrate to my own to serve my clients well and give excellent service also.
And what can I do to verify this review?
