ovh.co.uk reviews?

Hi, i found a nice ovh server which is a quad core with 8 gb of ram on a 1 GBps port. I saw a few reviews and i heard people say that they will lower your speed or something. What i need to host is a game server which uses a lot of upload. At least 10 mbps at MOST excluding users that have to download a 5 mb file. Perhaps if i tested my upload on speedtest.net if i had a ovh server that is on a 1 gbps port. What would the upload be?
Thanks for taking your time reading this and i hope you can help me because their servers are like the best ever and i think i can start a small business.
PS I know ovh only sells to UK customers

regarding network, take a look at http://weathermap.ovh.net/
to these locations most likely you are going to get guaranteed bandwidth, they don't limit peering bandwidth (Europe), however transit bandwidth is limited to ~10-20mbits.
they don't sell only in UK, they accept customers from FR, DE, AUT, NL, IT.... and the other EU countries where they have peering.

So would you say that ovh would be good for people in Canada? Lets say Ontario (Where i live). Im on a VERY TIGHT budget and i dont need management but just a good system with at least 20 000 kbps upload speed if i went to lets say speedtest.net or something.

i'm not sure about Canada, but my experience for bandwidth which goes transit to US, is very low, something like ~5mbits or 10mbits at max, no difference for incoming or outgoing bandwidth.

I have a friend to buy a ovh server for me but i live in toronto. And i want fast internet speed so my game server can support a lot of people. I need at least 30 000 kbps upload at max (If i go to speedtest.net to test it) and i only use about 1.5 - 2 tb of bw per month

The problem you will see more involves latency from the distance of the servers, sure the numbers look good on paper but you probably will not be able to pull that much bandwidth with high speeds to canada. Their network is good inside the EU, which is where they have a lot of peering, but outside you are on your own and they make no guarantees.

Well i pinged their IP and i seem to get about 100 ms of latency so its not that bad so im fine with it. What i need is a good network that can hold a lot of players in my mmorpg game

well, it's quite simple if you have majority of players in Canada and not in the EU, then, don't go with ovh.
latency is important for gaming besides hw and bandwidth aswell.

if ur outside europe, ovh is no good m8.. their peering is too bad to US and Canada, exception is Verizon.. Rest all not worth mentioning.
