Hi guys,
Please contact support@bqinternet.com so we can investigate your issue. I am not aware of any particular problems at the moment, so I would need to look into your specific situation.

It looks like the problem may be with your Rsync command syntax. I will follow up by email now.

Sorry to say Scott, but this is not the problem. My rsync command syntax is correct. I am using the same syntax always in past and always worked fine. But OK. I accept your suggestion and I change the syntax as you saied and the same problem: no file transference.
Please, could you have a look?? Try yourself to do a remote transference and you will see the problem. I send for your email my ssh printscreen.
Thank you

I wanted to bump this thread because I have been waiting 10 minutes to send a .ssh key to bqbackup.....seems very slow during business hours. I do my backups at night and they work but man this is ridiculous!

I got an email this morning saying they would look into it. I found a better deal with webbycart anyway ($5 for 15gb). I have already migrated. I don't feel like I should have tech issues with a simple backup server.....

It sounds like the issue is still on going and looks like some clients have been migrating.

I had a similar situation happen just last week, not sure why a hop caused it but it did. Since I had a few domains over at godaddy I was able to setup the free hosting account with each domain they offer and use the 10gb strictly for backups while keeping the DNS pointed to my box. The problem seemed to go away once I did that and on top of that it is nice to turn my home server off at night when I need to without missing a backup. Can you traceroute BQ (from your vps or dedi) and see if a slow hop is causing your issues. I am sure this does not apply to everyone but it did to me.

Wev'e still got speed issues despite being moved to a different server only a few weeks ago. Network throughput is abysmal, struggling to pull 100K/s at times whereas we can pull anywhere from 6-10M/s elsewhere.

If anyone is having problems, please contact us at support@bqinternet.com. Some users that are on ZFS-based servers are still sporadically hitting ZFS performance bugs, but it only affects a small handful of users, so it is important to submit a problem report so that we can investigate on a case by case basis.
We'll be phasing out our ZFS servers over the coming months. The majority of users on those servers are doing just fine, so we still need to know if individual users are seeing slowdowns so we can do something about it now instead of waiting the 2-3 months necessary to completely remove ZFS from our service.
