Undisputed champion in merchant accounts?

Hello
Which merchant account provider out there is the most popular one? i am asking for the one which is used by the majority of hosting companies.
also
paypal vs. 2checkout vs authorized net ? which one wins the popularity contest?
I am about to launch a hosting company and looking for the most popular and known-to-users processors.

harshy first tell us what you need.
You can accept paypal and cc payment via using payflow pro service on paypal.com.
or you can contact merchant account providers and get complete processing service.
2checkout and authorize net are 3rd party payment solution but merchant account provider.

It is. You still need a merchant account to use them.

Really depends on what your needs are related to shopping cart, API, flexibility, type of shop and importantly payment terms. Bigger names are not always better while dealing with them as a lone merchant.

There is no undisputed champion and of the 3 mentioned neither would place in the top 10 of many lists. The reason that I say that is that Paypal is a third party provider and when they do offer you a "real" account it costs an arm and a leg compared to other real accounts. 2Checkout is just a third party provider, they provide processing services not necessarily merchant accounts (you're basically "using their merchant account" per se).
And Authorize.net is a payment gateway, if you go through them for a merchant account directly you WILL may more than you should.
Just do a search for an online merchant account provider and you will find many good results.
