Joomla has an amazing interface easy to install and great extensions for it. Anything you can pretty much imagine you can do with joomla there is also some great template groups out there like rockettheme and shape5 we use them a lot for projects customers love it.

If you are looking for something complex, go for Drupal. If you are looking for something simple, go for Joomla.

Wordpress is very SEO friendly and extensible though not the same beast as Joomla which, though great for features, is not particularly SEO friendly atm compared to, say, Drupal. There is a lot you can do with Wordpress though beyond just blogging. Depends what you want to achieve? The prettiest though and most extensible is Joomla though, as I said, it doesn't compare to Drupal or Wordpress in SEO terms.

Thank you all for your quick and pin point responses.
sounds like durpal is way better as far as SEO..
Let me ask you this question then, with Durpal, when you get add-ons installed and stuff, how easy is it to upgrade to the latest when they are released, and what would you do with any customizations you do, do they get overwritten and you have to go back and change it (mainly layouts and some php scripts)

My vote is Wordpress hands down. The design, plugins and core Wordpress files are all seperate from each other making it simple to update anything. Its really just an upload and click activate in the admin panel.
Wordpress has a staggering amount of themes and plugins which allows you to do anything easily.

I recommend you Drupal.
A lot of people recommend Joomla, but please remember that it is pretty insecure
