Not sure about the direction on this one so comments would be appreciated...

The original site:
http://www.livingitfully.com/

The new site (in production)
http://livingitfully.com/new/

Let me know what you think of the new one... It's only one page so far until I have the go ahead from the client. Colors, fonts, structure... you know, the usual

Almost there...

Your site looks good. You might consider adding a contact box in your "contact us" page so visitors can send their messages to you directly from your site.

Good luck.

Definetly the secone version looks better, a few suggestions,
1) There is space cut out or missing behind the tent, fill that in its a little distracting
2) Move the disclaimer so its not in both the menu and content area
As far as the colors, they are great but maybe a different font on the graphic text would look better

the website text/url at the bottom of the image should be changed. it might be readable to the vision challenged.

You're not going to believe it. I got an email just now...

"Thanks, the new site looks great, but we want to use the old one."

No feedback on how to make the site better - Just that they'll keep the old one. It's a charity job - a freebie - so it's not a financial decision...

...Hmm.. oh well - I'll hold onto it for something in the future.

Kunal,

Yes klisis *is* following you. It's happened to me before... Spooky isn't it *lol*

Yes I think it might be a case of "too professional" given the target audience. The brief also however required that it appeal to corporate identities, so they can try to gain grants and sponsership *shrug* I would have presumed a professional looking site would have shown they are serious about what they do. It was going to have a "site donated by akashik.net" to offset the chance people thought they were spending cash on things they shouldn't (plus give us a little exposure at the same time).

It's a fine line I suppose.

Hehe.. well it's part of the game I suppose. I enjoy making sites so it's not really time wasted for me... I might have a buyer for the design anyway, so it might turn into a plus

I like it and I don't mean to bash it, but IMO the parents (i'm assuming they're parents) look like a couple of far too excited yuppies. They also seem to shop in the same department.

Yeah I know.....

I was looking for wholesome happiness. I saw that family and thought that's about as wholesome and happy as any sane person can stand
