Digital Linx - My Review

Hi everyone....
This will be my first Thread here in WHT.
I am very happy with my current VPS Provider,
So my first thread here is my positive review with them.
Digital Linx is my second VPS provider ever since I started using VPS. My first one is a complete disaster.
I am with Digital Linx for more than a month now, I only experience 2 down times with them and that was when wholesale has a internet DC downtime, and the other down time when some abusive kid over used the CPU but that was solved in just few minutes.
Their tech support is one that I can consider "Real Support" a tech support that always has the answer of my problems.
Before I thought CHEAP VPS comes with great headache but Digital Linx made me realize that CHEAP VPS doesn't mean OVERSOLD, Frequent Down TIME and Cheap Lazy Support.
Over all 10/10
Thank You DigitalLinx.Com for delivering a GOOD Service.

The experience with them, for me, was a nightmare. I signed up, they gave me my username and password in about an hour, which is fine, then I started playing around with it, I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted so I decided to install Ubuntu and so I reinstalled the OS. No biggie, I tested again and i wasn't quite happy with it yet so I decided for Fedora, to see if it could do what I wanted. Suddenly I get an e-mail, asking why I am reinstalling OS, happily replied, then they told me
"Sir why do you keep rebuilding your VPS you're using too
much CPU time and you're rendering the server useless to others."
Then I got this e-mail:
"Sir I suspended your VPS because to overloaded the server and that's direct violation of our TOS.
We never had troubles with LxAdmin before it just takes time for the server to update you need to learn to be patient.
Because of your activities we had to refund 2 customers.
We will build your system and make sure that LxAdmin is running and let you know
Please DO NOT KEEP REBUILDING THE SERVER as you're harming our reputation and business"
Of course I got angry, specially for the caps, like if I knew that rebuilding the VPS would "harm their reputation and business".
Then I told them that I really didn't know that they oversold their resources and that I wouldn't do it again, so they told me to wait 24 hours for my VPS to back in service, after the 24 hours they sent me another email:
"Due to customers signing up we will not be able to have your VPS ready until we get another node, this will take 3 to 5 days, we can offer you a refund or you can wait".
Of course I asked for the refund, which they properly made (have to give them credit for that). But it did leave a sour feeling.
Anyways that's the story. Thanks.
Francisco

The above post is true.
It was a difficult and stressful time for us then, we had a sudden increase of sales and we were lacking node space because fedex messed up our shipment. We were pushing our server nodes above their limits because customers were demanding their vps nodes to be up and running. We managed to place most of customers on already booked nodes however at one point couple of people started to rebuild their nodes with new OS (some customers even few times as you can see above) at the same time which caused high server load rendering the nodes useless.
We did apologize because you find our notification offencive (forgot to mention that?) we were unable to place your node anywhere which is why we offered you a refund and stopped selling at that point until the new nodes arrived.

Just to add, lol, the abusive kid was probably me, but I'm no kid, I'm almost 40, and I wasn't abusive, I really didn't know that rebuilding the server would affect them that much.
And that is true, they did apologize. (forgot to mention it.)

Started with a positive review and in between an unhappy customer. It will happen sometimes because every body comment according to their personal experiences.
@DigitalLinx: I appreciate the way in which you have dealt with this problem and to admit one's fault is a great thing.
@real_skinner: Thanks for the one month review and update us again with your experiences.

I commend them for standing up and accepting that what I said is true. I just wanted to express that I felt outcast for a small mistake I made (and I mean mistake in a liberal sense because rebuilding one's server doesn't constitute a mistake in my opinion). Like they didn't want me as a customer anymore. Anyways that's what I felt. Knowledge is power.

We are sincerely sorry that you felt like an outcast, hope you can understand that it was a difficult time for us then and we had to prioritize to keep our nodes running efficiently.
I'm sure you would rather get a refund than to be placed on a overbooked node right?
You were not entirely responsible for the server load few more people had their part as well and we did notify them the same way we notify you.
After our servers were delivered we moved all extra VPS nodes there and everything was back to normal.
