When I meet new people (especially girls) I noticed that I would only know them for a few minutes or an hour and they would tell me their whole life story and secrets. Then they stop and say "Wow I cannot believe that I am telling you all of this I usually do not share this information". I notice this happens to me a lot and I wonder why people feel like they can speak to me. Does this happen to you a lot? It is just weird that I would meet someone at the gym for example who is quiet and five minutes later they are telling me about their divorce, alcohol addiction, or positive things about their career and family and such. Way beyond basic chit chat.

I'm with ub3r - this doesn't happen to me, but I almost always open up to someone very easily and am very open about myself.

Opening up to people has its advantages and disadvantages.
People usually hate those who keep on complaining, but it also helps release some stress.
Peace,

Peace,
well, it's not like we're always complaining. I like talking about my fetishes with people.

I've never told anybody in real life about me, I don't see how people can. Do you look interested in what they're saying? I find it easier to talk to quite people, loud and noisy people are annoying, are you quiet? ;D

my aim is sdrawkcabyekim
There's the inquisitive side of me saying "Go on Sam, download aim and add him, it'll be a giggle" and there's the normal side of me saying "Do you really want to know this?". I'm contemplating it... ;D

Woah, I know exactly what you mean. It can be both a good and a bad thing.

Yeah I am quiet. I could meet a girl and she would reveal to me how she used to be an addict and such and swears that she never told anyone but her parents that before. It would be told in the first hour of meeting.

I used to open up to people until I started to realize that some people didn't really wanna hear about my crap. Since then, I've kept things to myself or only to my best friends. Not a lot of people open up to me, but from what I've heard from my friends I look "intimidating" when I'm a nice guy .

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I'm the anti-social one and the Mrs is the social butterfly. If I had my way, I'd be a recluse, living in the woods or something. Fast internet, a 50" plasma with PayTV would still be requirement though.
Spoke my mind!

Hey same here! In fact I considered just moving to a country where $100,000 makes you live like a millionaire on the beach and just have my internet and other electronics I would be 100% satisfied. I really do not like being bothered by people.
