Which hosts would you recommend for Wordpress? I already checked the list at the Wordpress site, any others that people have used and like?
This is for a new blog, initially used to experiment and figure out Wordpress, and then start posting "for real". It will be a new blog, so it won't have a whole lot of traffic initially.
Thanks!

The list at Wordpress is entirely based on affiliate program, you shouldn't take it seriously.
Any host offering PHP/Mysql should be fine.

As Jedito said above, hosts with php4/5 and mysql should be fine and of course do consider that some are more wordpress friendly with less restrictions than others
GOod luck!

A Small Orange could be a good starting point.

Most hosts should be fine for Wordpress. Unless your getting thousands of unique visitors everyday, then a simple shared hosting plan should be fine. If you prefer to have an automated installer, then it's recommended to find a host who offers either Fantastico or Installatron.

if a host can't handle Wordpress properly you better jump ship!
Any host will be able to handle WP you only need to look at how many databases
they will allow you, every wordpress blog needs one (usually) and some hosts
have a limit on databases allowed per customer.

Any host that offers PHP, mySQL, and great support.
You can always find some good deals in the Web Hosting Offers thread.

I'd avoid any host offering unlimited space and bandwidth for a start.
As others have said you should be fine on almost any half decent host.
Just do your research and take a little bit of time.
