It would depend if he/she is nice I'd pray and then ask them to leave if they were mean I'd call 911.
After retrieving my SIG P229 (chambered in the .357) I would take 3 shots, center mass and drop the intruder. I'd then dial 911 and let them know that they can come retrieve the body.

Any uninvited intruder perpetrating any life threating situation to me or my family within my home will be greeted with a 12 gauge shot gun or a Colt ACP 45 which will promptly be used to remedy the problem.

Quite simply I'd hammer him/them within an inch of their life/lives...then feed them to the pigs. Pigs eat everything..flesh, bones the lot and don't leave much of a trace if any at all..if they're hungry.
Any leftovers would get tossed into a pit full of caustic soda and left to dissolve.
I'm easy about the law of the land if some junky/thief scumbag mothaf*cka comes creeping into my home at night....especially if I've my 8yr old daughter staying....like any father I'd die to protect her...and I mean that literally.
I'm pretty sure if I went too far then I'd be able to cover my tracks quite well...or at least that's the chance I'd be prepared to take.
Any wishy washy liberals thinking that's too brutal.....then the newspapers are full of stories where intruders are met by soft minded people only for the soft minded to be on the receiving end of the brutality...many usually end up dead....and the intruders get idiotic 10 year sentences or less.

You are not allowed to defend your home here. You are supposed to call the joke of a police dept and wait 45 minutes to a day for them to show up and handle it for you.
Same goes where I live. As a result, I've no idea what I'd do in that situation. Ask him nicely to give himself up to the police perhaps?

Let me rephrase the question. Have you ever stolen beer from a kangaroo?
Make all the roos a Vegemite sandwich and put on a joey suit and you can have all their beer. They just might bring you in as one of their own. The problem is they may never give you the opportunity to leave.

I voted for option 5
Guys, the intruder is a 12 year old girl who is a runaway, looking for food and clothes.
I'm sure a guy would offer her home, food and changing of her clothes service for free.

While intruder gets mauled by dog I would get my wife and son out of there. They are only thing that matters in that situation. Not only that they do not get physically harmed but I would not attempt to selfishly exercise my manliness if that would have any potential of bringing them some kind of traumatic experience. I could not care less about actual property - it is insured and easy replaceable, It would be foolish to waste one second of my time trying to save insurance company some money.

If anyone broke into my house they wouldn't get far.
1st they'd probably trigger the security alarm
2nd the police department can usually have all 5-6 cars on the scene within 2-3 minutes
3rd if the police department isn't moving fast enough, I'll just shoot them

I would be screaming on top of my lung with a broomstick in my hand for the intruder to get off my property!
What are you going to do with a broomstick? Fly away on it?
Yes and yes, and they know how to use them too. My kids have been properly raised with guns, as well have seen what they can do and respect them.

LOL. Nope. I am going to use it to defense myself in the same way I would if I saw a dog about to bite me. They might be knock out before they make it off my property.

I would attempt to disable the intruder with a blunt object then I would call my defense attorny to have him start preparing for a personal injury lawsuit that will take up the next three years of my life. Can't help but love the legal system right?
