Midphase Phone System Issues & Blacklists
Issue #1
Has anyone else noticed that JUST WHEN YOU NEED TO GET AHOLD OF MIDPHASE their %^&*() phone system goes down.
I swear they've programmed the ^&*( thing that way!
Either "we're sorry, that option isn't available right now" (which is the Tech Support option) or you can't even get through.
Does anyone else find this issue with them?
And of course, their 24/7 online chat service just keeps on saying
"All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly."
Some days ya can't win for losing!
Issue #2
Some idiot on the same shared server that I'm on has done something that has now blacklisted the IP my account sits on and I'd like to know what the normal time is to get something like this taken care of should be.
I was told it would only "take a couple of hours". Well, we're now pushing 12+ hours and it's still not taken care of.
Midphase indicated that it was an issue with another account on the same shared server.
Yes. It's probably my own fault for using a shared account and it's part of the risk I'm sure I take, but my gosh, this sure seems to be taking longer than I expected.
Meanwhile, the Black List gods have my emails held hostage. I can't send ANY emails out from my account because all the ISP's out there show the IP address my account rides on as black-listed because some dufas brain that shares' the IP address must have done something really stupid. Guild by association with the moron!
One bad apple spoils the barrel, eh?

How bout that! The phone system finally worked!
I still stand by my whine about that. Every time I have to call in it's "down" for some reason or "I'm sorry, you've pressed an incorrect option".
Back to the Blacklist, Hello static IP! Goodbye you spamming [insert colorful expletive here] that share my account and enjoy making life miserable for the rest of us!

Are you calling from a cell phone? I assume they use voip and sometimes voip doesn't always work with DTMF (The numbers you press) so it may think you press another number. Happens a lot when I call banks, conference calls, etc.

Nope. From a hard-lined phone. This morning when I called in (to get the static IP added), I pressed 1, for sales, and it sent me to support. The guy "transferred me" and it sent me to a black hole & then hung up on me.
Yeah, they really need to get that phone system fixed. In the 5 years I've been with them they keep telling me "well, we're fixing it" or "we're upgrading it" or something. How hard is it to fix a phone system? If needed, throw out the old one & get a new one. Problem solved.
Sorry, it's just really annoying.

Now today "that option is invalid" again! My gosh, people! How hard is it to fix a phone system! And I was calling to give them money too....sheesh!

Terribly sorry for the trouble - We migrated our PBX system last week and have been suffering from some issues such as you described. We're working as quickly as possible to get the service restored.. we know it's a real pain right now.
Could you PM your phone number? I'll definitely be sure to have someone call you immediately to get your issues sorted!

How many PBX's have you guy's gone through though? I'm not even joking, every time I have a problem I call & get the same thing. "That option isn't available right now". You'd think you'd just buy a whole new system & hose the old one. Especially with how bad it is.

We actually just went through the first migration of asterisk in over 4 years.. so not many.
However, after all this mess, we're definitely looking to abandon this and move to another solution (I've just purchased it and it's on the way now).
Sorry for all the trouble.. we take this stuff pretty seriously; we want you to be able to call us!

Phone call came through, all resolved. Deadbeat spammer (whoever they are, whether midphase customer or some nigerian scammer ^&* that hacked someone's midphase account) is now a thing of the past on my end.
Come on DNS propagation! Find my new IP!
Best of luck with that phone system too. I'll bring the shovel if you'll help dig the hole to throw it in.

I just saw where this website (webhosttalk) just got hacked too, so, I guess it happens to everyone once in a great while.
Made me laugh though. The online resource for ISP's & web hosting got hacked. Talk about "eatin' some crow"....LOL!!! I hate to say it but I got a kick out of it.
I hope there's a really hot place in hell for spammers & hackers that deliberately hack so that they can spam.
