    Cpanel Email Setup Question

Can anyone tell me the default outlook/pop3 email settings to retreive email? My control panel/whm setup isnt letting the autoconfig thingie show up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The mail servers are usually mail.domain.com for both POP3 and SMTP.

If the email account is of the main account username you only need to use 'username' as the login otherwise enter your FULL email address.

    Hope that helps.

    thank you very much..

At least now I can pinpoint it to a password or other setting issue

You'll usually need to check the "Server requires authentification" box if using your own smtp server - you can also use smtp.your_isp.com too.

i thought that depends on whether the account is name-based or ip-based

No it doesn't - IP or name based is exactly the same method

    You'll need to enter mail.domain.com too - domain.com won't work
