    HTC Touch

Anyone have one and/or willing to provide your own review?

I'm looking into buying one with Sprint, but I'm not sure yet.

    Or --

I might get the Samsung Instinct, so if you have that with Sprint, your opinions could be valued too!

That will depend on where you live, sounds like it should be released in Germany very soon. A recent tweet (Twitter) from HTC makes it seem like the unit may never be released in the USA.

Indeed, the Touch HD unfortunately will not be making it to the US from the looks of it.

However, the Touch Diamond is already here (I have one actually) and the Touch Pro should be here later this month (or early November). I personally would not buy the HTC Touch, but I'd highly recommend the Diamond (unless of course it is outside of your budget).

I am currently using Touch Cruise and am loving it. A great phone indeed.

I would wait for HTC G1. Touch uses Windows Mobile if I remember correctly, and Windows Mobile sucks. It's so slow and freezes all the time on my HTC Dash.

I just bought a Touch Pro, can't live without the keyboard.

Very impressed so far. I would say it has the usual Windows Mobile snags... a little slow running, can hang and crash sometimes (well I've had it a week and it's crashed once so far). I did read reviews on the diamond saying it was a little slow, apparently there is a firmware update to fix that, although mine still runs a little slow I would say.

Really I'm hoping to be able to flash the rom and slap Android on it, so long as it retains full functionality etc.

Apart from the minor downsides I think that overall its a good device. Touch Flo3d is nice and easy to use, and the Pro has a bigger battery so not to shabby in that respect.

I have the 8525 and I'm experiencing the same Windows Mobile 6 problems. HTC phones are pretty nice except that they have Windows Mobile 6 as their operating system which seems to be very buggy.
