    Question e-mail aliases?

    hope this isn't off-topic...

newbie question here.... i have a domain registered and am hosting a site. i want to set up an e-mail alias that, when a user sent an e-mail to it, would sent that e-mail to say 5 users.

    for example:

user sends e-mail to: [email protected]
the e-mail would actually go to the 5 support people:

    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    ...

    my questions:
    1) do i need to set up a user account for this? i would prefer not to, as i don't want 'support' to be a user, just an alias.

    2) how do i set this up?

any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

In the aliases file, you should have a line that looks like this:

support: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
    *AlphaOmegaHosting.Com* - Hosting since 1998
    Managed Dedicated Servers and VPS
    Hosted Exchange 2010 Email Service

Don't forget to rebuild the database. (Sendmail)

Windows? Pardon me while I vomit. I'd be careful with providers who offer Microsoft Windows hosting platforms. You never know if they've been good and paid for all of their software. Micro$oft is watching you!

This doesn't apply to windows. What method are you using to support email on your windows host?
