We are newly stepping in to hosting business. We are planning to sell .come .net and .org domains for 4.99$ initially for 6 months. This offer will be successful in market what do you think?

At present the site is under construction, we will open in a week.

I think you might go out of business doing that. You are selling it cheaper than the registry is selling it to you. You'll be losing more money than gaining. I personally don't think it is a good idea. Plus it kind of sounds fishy, $5 bucks for a domain, you never see that.

Just make sure you place a cap on the number of domains any single client (by credit card number, and NOT email address) can register, or you'll be broke on the first day.

If I were you, I would also cap the total number of domains in this promo campaign (instead of just for 6 months). Good luck, you'll need it.

You should increase 1-2$ maybe and still you'll be cheaper coz if u sell cheaper than that u'll loose lots of bucks. But businesswise its an strategy for atracting clients & its on you that how u use those customers to sell your other services and level your loss.
