VPS hosting in Germany or UK is required, <=$50/month

Hi everybody,

We're looking for VPS hosting preferably in Germany or in UK with support in English. Here are some initial conditions:
1. Price: <=$50 a month
2. Bandwidth: 100-150GB
3. Disk space: 10GB will be quite enough

It is required for project with 2k-10k unique visitors a day (site actively uses PHP and MySQL).

But the first condition is hosting's reliability and fast technical support.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

P.S.
Our visitors are from all the world, so it doesn't depend for us where to host however we would like to try hosting in Europe because we have negative experience with hosting in US (we were hosted by slhost and dreamhost - prices are good, but there are problems with stability and support). So we're interested are there any reliable hosters in Europe?

I m not sure about Germany, but from my personal experience i would suggest webhosting.co.uk for your UK VPS. Their network is fast and the hardwares are also good. They have 24/7 Live chat support as well as their ticket support is also fast. You might want to try them out.

Host Europe provided us with a server in Germany - not sure they'll fit within your budget though.

mellow-h, is webhosting.co.uk the correct URL? When I try to browse this site I get "Page Load Error".

If your budget is tight: www.cheapvps.co.uk

If you can expand it a little: www.clustered.net

webcertain, thanks for the recommendation. I've just seen it.

Host Europe has UK mirror - webfusion.co.uk, we are interested in their VPS 2.0 Value tariff. However I'm a little bit confused by their "unlimited traffic" offer. Do you also have "unlimited traffic" on your server? What maximum data transfer speed allowed by this hosting?

Honestly I do not know how many RAM is good for us. As I mentioned above we have 2k/day visitors on average (sometimes up to 5-7k/day). Our web-site has self written PHP engine using MySQL actively (basically to track users). Also we need to have FTP and Email server be run as well as spam filter service. Can you recommend us a RAM limit?

If you run a lot of services, e.g. Web, Database, Email, then you should get a minimum of 256MB guaranteed RAM.

Ok, let's suppose I need 256 MB RAM. What German hosters (that have support in English) can you recommend?

Have a look at xenEurope.com, English company with servers in Netherlands, I used em for a while and they were good.

Daniel_G, thanks for the tip! Do you use them now? If not why you changed the hosting and what hosting do you use at the present moment?
