Would a dedicated server with these details be any good?


CentOS Core 4 Linux (RedHat)
766 Mhz CPU
10 gigs of disk
256 Megs of RAM


worth $25 a month?

Below is a list of just some of the software installed in it.

Webmin, Bind , Webalizer, PERL, GCC, PHP, Apache, Sendmail, Procmail, Squirrelmail, MySQL, OpenSSH, ActivePerl, etc....

Basically anything that comes standard with Red Hat.

CentOS is on it.

The Web based control panel is Webmin and Virtualmin.

The server comes with 4 dedicated IP addresses for you to use and you will have root access to the server. The price includes 256kbps of bandwidth burstable up to T1 Speeds. This is about 1000 gigs of transfer a month. Server isn't shared with ANYONE except me.

You could find a VPS with a lot better specs than that. That processor is from the late 90s. Really outdated in general.

Plus, 256kbps is ~30kb/s. Really slow. Images will take forever to load. Even T1 is pretty slow at 1.5 mbit.
