Looking for a new VPS

I'm looking to move my VPS from SteadCom due to stability issues. However I don't know where else to look.

The one thing that usually decides it for me, when just LOOKING at my options, is that many hosts don't allow IRC servers. I'm big on IRC-serving, and this is important to me.

Linode looks nice, but I'm paying $15 a month right now, and, though its only 5 more bucks a month, I'd like to save that as a last resort...

So I'm asking you guys: What can I get, that allows the use of IRC servers, and has comparable specs to steadcom (1200gb bandwidth after a review, but the bandwidth isn't that important to me... i wont go over 20gb anytime soon), 20gb hard drive space, at least 128mb ram, preferably 256.... for $15 bucks?

Any ideas?

edit: i don't care where it's at, preferably in the US, but I'm open to other places as well.. For example, I'm looking into VPSVille, from canada, and waiting for a response from them with some questions I have.

In US and Canada or Europe it will be quite difficult to find VPS with IRC allowed. Once you find deal I recommend ask web hosting provider about content you are going to host before subscribing

Maybe this search will help you: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search...archid=6462138

(searching irc in the offers forum, look through the threads, pick out the IRC, not all of them will be irc allowed but mostly, I can tell you that with RockMyWeb, it is strictly not allowed).

Most hosts with advanced ddos protection will allow it but for others it can be too costly, I can tell you every major DDOS we have had since the beginning has been because of IRC.

$15/mo is a bit low in terms of budget. have you thought of increasing your budget for higher reliability?
