Need someone to optimize my dedicated server
I have a Core2Quad 6600,1 Gbit Port - 50Mbit Average, 8GB RAM ,1TB HDD and runs CentOS 5 with Plesk as the control panel. The server needs to be optimized for high web traffic....around 1.6 million daily page views to be exact. The server keeps locking up, and there are times where it says its unable to connect to the mysql database due to too many connections etc. I've messed around with the my.cnf file among other things but I'm not able to fix the problem. I need someone with a lot of experience to optimize this server to the max to get the best performance out of it. Feel free to reply with any questions you have as well as bids. Thanks.

There are many parameters need to be analyzed before assuming anything. The easiest way to do work with these types of thing, is to hire a System Admin and analyze all the parameters and variables. He should be able to assist you in finding out what are the settings good for you after experimenting for 24 hours or more.

Providers are not allowed to make offers in this forum. Please take a look at the system management request forums in the employment section.

Sound like you need to implement Caching. This will cut down on your mysql server loads, and cpu usage.
