I am looking for a VPS account with 512 dedicated RAM. Which are some of the known, trusted and reliable hosts that have the best deals? They also must have monthly billing and upgrade-downgrade option at any point.

Aredowngrades flawless too at Linode? I'm currently at Vpslink and in order to downgrade I must get a new account and transfer files, - which really is a bad option, it will take me days to get everything properly setup and configured again.

I wonder if it's possible to move entire image.

Assuming the package your downgrading to has enough hard drive space to take the disk image, its as easy as upgrading.

Zone.net, Knownhost.com, and Wiredtree have always been reputable on here in my eyes.

Just about any VPS host should be easy enough to upgrade or downgrade but it's best to check with their sales department beforehand just incase.

Just putting in another vote for InnoHosting. They are UK based with servers in the UK and USA. Their 24hr support team and company owners are superb.

www.cheapvps.co.uk is nice and cheap, UK or US. AFAIK you can only upgrade/downgrade between plans though rather than add extra RAM/HDD etc when you like.
