* Cancellation and refund Issues with Fluid Hosting [resolved]

I hate to do this! I always respected and (somewhere in my heart still respect) Fluid Hosting and Dave for the kind of support they have been providing. But to my surprise, I am getting a totally different and unexpected experience.

I initiated a account cancellation on around 31st July through sending an email. In response I was advised to open a ticket by logging into the Control Panel I did it as requested. Till now account is not canceled and day before yesterday I got charged for another month. Actually thats the time I came to know that its still not canceled. Since then I am contacting FH HelpDesk and I am just getting the same reply "I have put a note to my manager" It's happening for two days now. Yesterday I was told my request will be closed by late evening and I will be given the refund...but no action.

Now I contacted them again, got the same reply "I have put a another note to my manager"

I know probably I am whining out my fustration but waiting for a month and then manager is "unable" to take a look at note by the support...not sure whats happening

To the full disclosure, I had signed up multiple times with FH (may be 6-8 times) in a year or two period and had canclled the account on differnet occasions (due to my busy schedules I am unable to maintain the site) and I have always got a fantastic service to say the least...but this time...

Do they provide you with a customer support phone number, if so, I would talk to them directly over communicating thru tickets. If not, let it stand for 2 to 3 days. Sometimes companies refund process takes a little bit. Does their terms of service state anything?

I'd wait a couple of days as FH is a solid and reputable provider. Not sure where you are located, but in the US it was a national holiday on Monday, and I'm sure they were closed. So give it a little more time, and I'm sure they'll reply and refund you.

My apology for the delay in processing your cancellation request. A combinations of being overseas and out of town most of August have made me simply overlooked the ticket. Part of the delay was also caused by me waiting for your reply for the reason of your decision to cancel a ticket which you provided almost a month later, causing me further to overlook the ticket during this time. Again, my apology for the delay and all inconveniences caused.

As you know, your cancellation ticket had been processed.

And I now I saw this thread. I have to say I am surprised that you would bring this to the public as you know we have had a long term relationships in the past. In fact, there was not a single time when your many cancellation requests in the past was ever declined.

Thumbs up

Dave,

I want to put an open apology. I do not want to be a cause of bad reputation for FH. If I had slightest idea that you are not around I would have never ever put a thread! If I knew earlier that you are not around, I would have patiently waited for ages till you return.

I have always regarded FH as one the best and probably equal or above bigger hosts like pair mainly due to prompt and friendly support consistent for 4+ years I have experienced.

After posting this thread, I came to know from one of your staff that you are not around and at that point I could not delete the thread. Probably I misunderstood "I have notfied manager" comment as this type of delay was completely new & surprising in my 4+ years of on and off relationship with FH. Thinking to other extreme I though something is happening at FH and only way for me is WHT.

To All those reading this thread, I am not putting this comment because I got my $$ back. I am making this clarification to clear any doubts over FH. This thread was created purely due to my hasty and impatient behaviour. My sincerest apologies for my impatient behaviour. I am now feeling very bad that I landed here.

Also note, I left FH, as I am not getting enough time maintain site from my work and family time.

Mods:
I am not sure if this fits in your rules, but I kindly request you to DELETE this thread. Even a locked thread can create a bad impression about a host with people thinking something bad must have happened. So I am requesting to completely wipe off this thread

As it isn't against the rules, we won't delete it.

Closed.
