Simple answer to your GD problem

Hi Marc,

Try to yum install php-gd

GD is a very common library and should be available via the yum repositories. You should have to compile from source unless you have very specific needs or compilation flags.

Reply back if you cannot figure it out. I am happy to help.

maybe.

First just install.

Then restart apache

Then do a phpinfio() to see if gd shows up in the available libraries.

There is a slight chance that you will have to edit your php.ini, but I doubt it. All of my centos severs have been that simple - install php-gd, restart apache, and you are good to go.

Notice the error 500 above. The server you attempted to download from is having errors. Try another mirror.
