    Post Helpdesk Software Recommendation Request

    Hello,

I am looking around for helpdesk software that integrates into cpanel. Also looking for billing software that does the same.

So far for billing software, it seems http://www.webhostingbilling.com/ is the best option for me. Ideally, Id like paypal and 2checkout.com integration tho.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When you say "integrates into cpanel" does that mean you want a customer interface to appear as a cpanel option on your customers' cpanel?

The two most common billing-wares are being discussed in thread #40390, URL is http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=40390

phpManger has a customer interface, whmManager does not. PayPal and 2checkout integration.

The popular helpdesk is PerlDesk but I haven't seen it integrated into a cpanel.

The cpanel screens can be modified (HTML) if you are fortunate to have a host that will let you mount your modified page. The cpanel screen sits in your root and is seen by your customers only, so it's possible to brands it, theme it or otherwise to customize the cpanel screen. It's nice because you can pull off "dead" links like Telenet/SSH and other things you may not want your buyers to access. You could turn cpanel into a really useful "home base" for customers.

Just started using phpmanager. It works a treat and is cheap as dirt. Still use perldesk for support tickets as I like its features, but phpmanager does have built in ticket system (which also looks quite good).

Give eSupport (http://www.kayako.com) a try if you are looking to spend some well-worth-$$. Our experiences with them have been quite good so far. Varun, the head programmer, often frequents this board too so you should be able to find him easily.

    Hope this helps

Yes, I've heard RT is very good. Never personally used it though.

I have RT installed on one of my servers and I really feel that it's not really a good tool for providing support to end users. It's more of a project management solution for programmers.

Ticketsystem? Perldesk. www.perldesk.com While the site is a little mothballed right now while John works on PerlBill, he has assured us that Perldesk will become a priority again in the near future.

::edit:: Erp, forgot to add: Haven't used PerlBill yet, but I hear that there is CPanel intergration for it. The integration only works if you're only running one CPanel box tho, can't work with multiple ones.
