CentOS offers no kernel driver for the on-board Attansic Gb NIC on P5B-VM SE board, and it supports none of the 45mn wolfdale/yorkfield CPUs.

DG35EC seems to be a much better choice. we've yet to try it with CentOS kernel, though!

From your experience which entry level board you tried for C2Q6600 and 8gigs ram.
One quick questions. Can these entry level mobo buffer 100% ram/cpu?

Thanks

I just built a personal machine with the DG35EC, it works great for gaming with 4Gb of RAM and an 8800GT as well as AHCI. Haven't had a single problem with it. It also suppose the Core2 Quad CPUs for a good upgrade path when they get cheap.
