    Windows movie maker

What can this be used for?, i thought it would be good for some sort of movie editing but it seems useless.

Yeah its really useless just a feature microsoft added to make its software more "user friendly" and attract new newbie customers who think its cool to "edit" movies.

it's about as useful as XP's built in zip support and CD burning tool. Looks like a good idea on the back of the box, but turns out to be as useless as anything in practise.

I use XPs built in zip support all the time (for viewing contents quickly).

However, for creating zips I use Winzip

Movie Maker: Useless. I fiddled with it once, but it was too stupid for words.

Yes it is useless, all i can seem to do with it is watch a video. As useless as that GIF animator that comes along with XP.
All the image stuff that comes with windows is rubbish as well.
Still better than Macs though .
