Best hardware?

I need one server to use 2500GB Traffic in month.

What is the best hardware detail?

Dual Pentium III 1.13GHz
1024MB REG ECC RAM
SCSI

Is it going to be pushing mostly static content like HTML and pictures, or will it be doing a lot of dynamic stuff with PHP/Perl/MySQL etc?

I would not say this is the best hardware, but the specs are ideal for your usage.


Dual P4 2.0 Ghz
4 GB DDR Ram
SCSI Hd

Best? This is the best you can DIY, after this you need to have big iron.

mobo, with 4x 1.6GHz, 32GB ddr ram, RAID, 2x2 nics, a few dozen cheetahs.
