    * Big fraud at **********.com / hosting24.com

American hosting companies are under under fire from a fraudulent operator in Lithuania who has climbed to an Alexa rank No. 3373 with a generous free webspace offer and a never paying affiliate program that guarantees $5 per sign up.

With this strategy of offering big cpanel accounts with huge traffic and space allocations they virtually kill any regular competition at hardly any costs and at any moment they will try to force their free webspace clients to their paid hosting at hosting24.com

Obviously they will lose a lot of the free webspace riff raff, but a decent percentage will be prepared to stick with their cpanel hosting for a small fee like for example $1 month.

Obviously it is about time to report them to the FBI as thousands of affiliates are getting ripped off by zerozerowebhost.com & hosting24.com ( sorry, but the board does not accept the regular triple zero digits in front of webhost.com )

Also the entire hosting industry is getting damaged by this Lithuanian operator who is paying games in America even by using only American resources.

    Smart :-)

I think he's warning you that 0 0 0 webhost (without spaces) don't pay their affiliates (that have gotten the domain censored here) as they should.
There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

I have seen so many posts in other forums regarding this company. Somebody coming and recommending this hosting company and most of them were doing their first post. Even they were not reviewing instead just saying so and so is good and go for this company.

This message is also for regular hosting operators to learn, where some of their potential customers are ending up.

All budget hosts have no chance against this marketig strategy of hosting24.com and their satellite freehost which has such high ranking and traffic values thanks to the promised $5 commission.

Who would have thought about that? Me wonders why they would stop at $5 if they're not going to pay anyway. Offer $10 or $20, or more!

Nice joke. And true too if they are not going to pay they should have made it more attractive by increasing the amount. While doing fraud activities(if so) also they are using less brain.
Thanks for WHT policies, other wise we might have seen so many promotional posts here also as in many other forums.

Sure, with the next version of hosting24.com we will see competition for hostmonster, gator and so on who pay bounties worth $50 and more.

This zero zero / hosting24.com thing built by Eastern European experts is most likely only one first test, that works very well.

Obviously any thug in the world can rent a server in the US in order to rip off countless folks from anywhere including US citizens.

paypal will send the money even straight to hell :-))

Can anyone PM me the name of that company? As I live in Lithuania, I may search for data on them. And maybe drop some salt into their over-sweet thug life...

update (sorry, cannot edit my post):
This triple zero offers a free hosting. The overflooded Lithuanian message boards, but almost no complaints fromn their users. Unfortunately, whois gives no info on them. Whois info is hidden. I think they should report it to the Lithuanian government.
As for the second - yes, it is a company in Kaunas with owner changing adresses, He had a website where registred his adress in Kaunas (Lithuania) as being in...Netherlands! The "K.DOnelaičio 62-412" is a business center in the Kaunas where he (maybe) waas renting a room.
    http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=6&gl=lt
And he had some problems with Escrow:
    http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=6&gl=lt
I think people who losty their money due to this evil, should sue him. I will search for an registrar who registers of companies.

If they do not pay affilate taxes - I'm afraid I can't take any action. Zero*3 seem to provide free hosting.
If only they spam me, any of my emails - I could report this to Lithuanian authorities so they can take some action. OR I will need any bad content they are hosting (porn, warez, hare content).
I will see what I can do. it is apity to have thugs from my native country

Apart from (suposedly) not paying affiliates, is there anything else wrong with them?

I see its hosted in Softlayer
Mousa: [as Rambo prepares to play Afghan game 'buzkashi'] God must love crazy people.
    Rambo: [getting on horse] Why?
Mousa: He make so many of them!

They pretty much encourage their affiliates to spam forums, claiming that's where the money's at:

    From 0 0 0 w e b h o s t.com/affiliate-program:

    Forum Finder tool
We have found that the best converting traffic come from forums. Forum traffic has over 15% conversion rate and that means if you will refer 100 visitors to our website from forums - 15 will signup and it will earn $75 for you! So we have created this unique tool for you.
And they can't BS their way out of it and say that they mean sig links in forums you already to contribute to, since a) affiliate links are pretty much a no-no everywhere and b) because you don't need a forum finder tool to find forums you are already contributing to.

yeah, ask them to test the payment system at webhosting24 and to ask sales how many customers they pride, since when in the business etc. just ordinary pre sales questions :-)

...and Softlayer *should* take a legal action. An official letter to Lithuanian Government and cc - to our embassy in the US. Just to make sure everything goes like it should.

Oh, Thanks for the Clarification Mike. Yeah I have been to other forums such the same as WHT and all have 0 0 0 Web Host as a recommendation.

As this post relates to ripping off clients by not paying affiliates then that is totally wrong.

I feel sorry for the people that are being affected by this company.

Reported to our Treasure department. Explained that this host could scam Lithuanian customers since they do not pay taxes to US company + they are enlisted as Escrow scammers.
Was asked if they may contact me - told yes, they can. It will take some 2-3 week for them to get all data they need and to collect proof. If folks at WHT have any links - it would be highly appreciated. Any example of scamming from these 2 hosts would be appreciated too.
Hope it would stop the evil...

    maniakaz,

    good job, thanks.

There is enough filth on the Internet and auhorities should at least weed out the worst crooks.

    Just Google for "********** fraud"

I also know another webmaster who lost a bit in this scam. Poor lad still has hopes :-) and plans to give them till end of August ..

    that`s what he wrote ...

After the first I would like to start a campaign to find others who have been stiffed. I would think having more names and amounts owed would carry more weight when turing this information over to the fraud division versus one or 2.

    Have a great weekend.

I think they are spamming (but they don't spam me, unfortunately).
Today I was phoned and told I had to inform Economic police. Well, tomorrow I will tell all the data I have to them.
Once again - if someone has/had/is having direct experience - please tell me. I may need it: google sometimes is not enough.

I will do what I can: phone, email.
If all fails - I will write to the US embassy. They should have some kind of officer, responsible for economic relations. And if that fails - well, I have done all I could. Then, it would be up to Americans to fight this scam :-/

I think zerozerowebhost and hosting24 are great services they get back to you with your problems, lots of space and a domain name for 12 dollars a month its fantastic. Im not interested in the affiliate side of it and dont use it, I dont think anyone's going to get anywhere with affiliate programs of any kind. Just use the other products and be grateful.

Plenty of people get "somewhere" with affiliate programs.

I don't see where they charge $12/mo for anything.
Perhaps you're not sure which hosts they're talking about.

    As far as "being grateful",
There are much better free hosts out there.

I think zerozerowebhost and hosting24 are great services

They are cheating crooks and criminals who should be taken off the web. It is a disgrace, that any foreign criminal can easily start a crooked US based business.
