I was looking for a reputable host provider and was given a name for Unmetered, Inc. Can anyone vouch for them? Thanks, Dallas, TX colo guy.

I have no idea about them.. I Know fdcservers.com is in chicago as well as sharktech.net who is a reseller for fdcservers.

Lots of options in Chicago , we use Equinix there and so do LOTS of companies. It's one of the largest Equinix facilities. You didn't say if you needed shared/VPS/dedicated/racks/full cages or what. That would affect my recommendations. Lot's to choose from there depending on what you need.
BUT if you want a host with location there, that changes everything. Might get a Chicago company with servers at the Planet in Dallas or Houston ...need a little clarification ???

Steadfast.net are located in Chicago (same building as FDC), they're a premium brand if that's what you're looking for.

Steadfast is in the same building as equinix.
