Ideas and thoughts on site updates.
Need a bit of advice before we start making some changes and additions to the our site design and structure.
We are wanting to open up more to the US market (we are currently focused on UK and Europe) and the best way we can think of doing this is to have one site aimed at Europe and one at the Americas.
We do not want to use the .com for US and .co.uk for Europe and so the best way we have thought of so far is an splash page where the visitor chooses their region.
What do you think of this? Personally when I go to a site and it has an intro or splash page it puts me off a little....but....
Your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.
I don't link flash intros....but an animation in flash in the corner is okay....
I suggest, use .co.uk for England and .com for US clients....
we know thats probably the best but we dont want to use this method as we want the .com to be the "main" domain if that makes sense.
I like the rackspace.com method.
With the choice in the corner.
