Dedicated at 60 Hudson

I am looking for 1/4 rack space (5-6u) for my client who wants to lease dedicated boxes at 60 Hudson using Level3 bandwidth. Its a telephony company and they want the space there and no where else. Their main origination pop is at that place (telx).

Someone quoted $899 plus extra 100$ per EACH box to be hosted there.

Can someone help?

My guess is that he's looking for suggestions and perhaps opinions on the quote he has.

Hmmm...is this quote directly from TelX or some other datacenter/tenant in that building?

Because even by NYC standards, that's a bit expensive ($900 + $100 per box). And I am assuming they are charging for each additional box because of power, so if you put a powerful blade server, technically one enclosure, would they provide all the power it needs for just $100?

Try http://www.ftgx.com/ I am not 100% sure if they are carrier neutral but they do have level(3) in their BGP mix, so may be you can work out with them a deal for just level(3). The last time I asked them for a quote was a couple of months ago and I dont have the sales contact info of the person I talked to. But the quote was very reasonable for NYC.

Rack space or dedicated are both fine with us. Since we are not near the datacenter - we would prefer dedicated boxes.

Are there any dedicated or colo provider at that space?

Thanks.

That's where we are at 60 - we've been happy with FTGX. I've heard that they have built out a new colo space on the 12th floor if you want rackspace.

I contacted FTGX, and was told they rent full racks only!
