Making it into a usefull post:
Their site looks like its had some investment in terms of time, the templates look good and come with PSD files. Chances are you won't have too many problems wit the templates themselves. They don't say that the PDS files are unflattend. You should probably ask them if you plan to use/edit the PSD files.

Seems to be the guy/gal who did two of the templates on the site (same email addr)
Taun (who appears to be the owner and template designer) lives in Australia, so taking timezones into account, you could have slow responces to email, but probably not.
Someone has hopefully reminded him that his domain expires in a coupple of months too.
Looks reasonable, and as he's on the forums so you can allways be sure of being abole contacting him, so I say go for it
(and if not, you can allways have a good rant!)
