urgent:please help - how to make the device larger space??
hello
i have an urgent problem please help me to solve
the device which i transfer the full backups to through ( wget ) is full 100 %
Disk /dev/sda2 (/) ............ 100 %
i want to know if there is some safe way to make the space of the device larger ??
please help me as fast as possible as the cpanel is suspended for that reason
and how to know the files in that device and delete what i don't want

I am not sure how to make the device bigger but you can list the files in the directory by using the ls command

oops. you can use the ls command and if you use ls --full-time it shows you the time plus the filesize. so you can delete the files you don't need.

i have a 2*160 gb hard drive and i didn't use more than 50 gb
but the drive is divided to partitions and this partition is 100% full

If you have a directory that is growing (such as a logs directory or a backup directory) you may be able to simply move that directory to one of your other partitions and then symlink it in on the original partition.

There's no need to expand the root (/) partition. Figure out what's using up all the space on the / partition, and just move it onto another partition that has space available. This is probably where these files belong anyway as there really shouldn't be that much on the / partition.

You should've posted at least some output of df -h..
Usually it's logs causing disk space problems, but getting 100 GB of logs..takes some time.

thanks i contacted sago support and they helped me to free some space
and its now 64 % only
