wintertennis.com

Just worked on a Tennis Club website and discovered that the generic name "wintertennis.com" is available! Could it be that "indoor tennis" is a better term for the sports or is it just that nobody has noticed this gem out there?

Winter is a season, tennis is a sport, the two don't go together and there's no meaning by putting them together. I'm sure wintersoccer.com, winterfootball.com, and winterbasketball.com are all available as well, though I didn't bother to check. Indoor tennis is played indoors, during the winter or any other month. In other words, I don't think it is a jem personally.

This isn't to say you couldn't use the domain in some way, to describe a winter league of some sort, just that you'd have to use it in a way that makes sense. It would seem to describe 'when' the tennis takes place (the winter months), rather than 'where' (indoors).

[Edit: Darn typo]

Thanks Chicken

Chicken,

Thanks for your input. The name of my client is XXX (place-name) Winter Tennis Club and their website is xxxwintertennis.com! I'm not a tennis fan (not even a sports fan at all), so I frankly don't know which is the appropriate term for this kind of activities. A search with Overture shows that "indoor tennis" returns with 272 searches while "winter tennis" 0! Again, thanks for your feedback.

If you think there is such a thing as a free meal, you must be the chef's son.

Signature beheaded?

Has my signature been "beheaded"?

I seem to remember that it was something like:

hkg.net SOLD for US$5,000
http://www.nameslave.com

Am I wrong or does it violate any rule of this board?
