theplanet.com and thehostrack.com are both accessible from my end.

Edit: Correction, thehostrack.com is not accessible but is pingable, so your web server must be down - not a network issue.

No it was a network issue. Below is from a ticket:

Customer,

We are currently experiencing an issue with the network which we are expeditiously attempting to correct.
We should have this issue corrected shortly your patience is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Dc Ops

Hopefully things are coming back online

UPDATE: It's an issue with a router.

Something is definitely bad on their network right now. Confirmed with one of our servers which just isn't responding. LayeredTech price raise and now ThePlanet network issues, somebody please send me an ambulance.

From theplanet forum:

OK, our Hstntx1 facility has been evacuated and we have emergency services at the site. I'm still trying to determine the exact reason and the scope of impact...

No idea on exactly what it is but the issue is only the old Houston 1 from ev1/RS.

Yes, I confirm. My servers with Theplanet down for almost 35 minutes now. Network Flow Statistics in Orbit confirms it.

Posts on the TP Forum say the entire Houston facility has been evacuated due to an electrical problem. Unless the facility is shooting lightning sparks wall to wall, I don't know what could have occurred, but it appears to be serious.

From theplanet's forum:

OK... guys we've had a major wide-spread electrical problem in our Hstntx1 facility. Hstntx1 has been evacuated at this point and emergency services are on site.

http://forums.theplanet.com/index.php?showtopic=90183

Nobody is saying anything else yet.
