Confirmed, this was a data center issue and it appears to be fixed now. They have not been able to tell me what the issue was, but our servers were down ~45 minutes.

I was down there today and it was a power outage. No word yet on what happened (or why the UPSes didn't come on). The whole building was affected, apparently.

If anybody has any more info as to the cause, I'd love to hear it.

Amazes me though... 365 Main in SF (http://365main.com/) lost about half their suites last July, and it was all over the news. HE.net loses them all, and there's nary a word anywhere.

That actually makes very good sense: HE is not that big of a player.

They not telling anyone, I'm trying to get them to say what happen. I have a feeling they trying to cover their butts on this one.

Anyone have any word on what exactly happened? They are still acting like nothing happened and seem like they are just shrugging it off...

Still no word yet. I'm sensing some serious CYA down there... I've talked to several people, and nobody knows.

Frankly, that bothers me quite a bit. I understand people make mistakes, even at that scale. But I'd expect an apology and word on what happened. Not them pretending it never happened.

agreed, I'm a bit worried to on this as I'm been getting "I don't know" answers. Almost as they been told by upper management to say that.

In all honesty, that's really the way I've felt too. The answers have all been different (e.g. 'oh, I wasn't here at that time' to 'i think they're still investigating'), but it really seems like somebody has told them not to talk.
