Basic Shoutcast Bandwidth???

Hey everyone, I apoligize if this is in the wrong forum(it seems right) anyway, what is the basic shoutcast bandwidth limit. I am currently offering 2GB but that seems too much especially for a 1 tb(100GB) VPS server. The reason I ask this is for concern to my disk space. However, the server is only used for shoutcast hosting anyway.

I have several shoutcast servers and the stream bandwidth use depends on what bitrate they stream at. As an example I have someone who streams at 128kbp/s and holds about 250 listeners all day and peaks upwards of 350 listeners, he uses about 1.5 TB a week.

2GB is nothing, we have clients that use much more than that in a day.

Also, 1tb isn't 100GB, its 1000GB.

What does disk space have to do with it??

Disk Space should only matter if you are offering AutoDJ.

Personally I use disk space on shoutcast server as a remote backup location for sites.

Our SHOUTcast servers can go through 2000-3000GB a month with ease. It uses ALOT of bandwidth. Be prepared for sustained usage spikes.

Your going to need more, if you start selling shoutcast. Or if this is just for you go with some shoutcast hosting provider as it would be much more cheaper.
