We are looking for 2 dependable (maybe even Los Angeles-based?) Internet veterans or "online nuts" that have either had many years of experience with numerous UNIX-based web hosting accounts/websites and domains or have worked extensively in support positions of fast-paced web hosting companies.
Besides fluency in English we require plenty of experience in FTP, HTTP, HTML, FrontPage, Telnet, Email and some DNS issues (you really gotta know web hosting). Familiarity with Plesk Control Panel and Perldesk is a big plus. Some Perl and Java knowledge (troubleshooting customer scripts) will be needed as well.
To start we require availibility of 2 hours/day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon/night) , 6 days/week to answer support desk inquiries and emails and potentially return some calls (95% email only). We expect the hours to ramp up to 4 hours/day within the first 3 months. The position is on a 1099 basis and open immediately. To start we pay a flat monthly fee of $350 ($700 once it gets to 4 hours). Work can be done from home!
