Please recomend a USB external drive for Win 2003

I want to buy a USB drive that is known to run on a Windows 2003 server. There is no CD drive so I cannot install software to run the drive. Perhaps the software to run the drive would have to come pre-installed on the drive. Maxtor has some drives that run on win 2000 but there is nothing in their specs about 2003. I have read people have had issues with running Maxtor on 2003.

I routinely use a Fantom 1 TB external drive on server 2000, 2003 and 2008 with no issues. However when possible I use eSata for the higher performance. The Fantom model I use has USB, Firewire 400/800 and eSata.
