Looking for a Reliable Windows Reseller!

Hello,

I've been looking around for a reliable Windows Reseller, preferably Plesk based as I've used Plesk for Linux before. However, I am open to try out any new Control Panel as well.

The requirement is as follows:
  1. Windows 2003 with ASP
  2. Reputed
  3. Reliable
  4. Plesk or any other CP
  5. Not very expensive and not dirt cheap as well
  6. Preferably having a representative at WHT
  7. Respectable here at WHT

I've searched around on Google and WHT as well but, have not found enough info/reviews/companies.

Please don't give me that usual "Search Box is here" or "Google it" or "Check the offers section"

Thank you in Advance.

Resellerzoom and hostnine offer windows reseller with plesk control panel.
Try Hsphere if you prefer windows and linux hosting in 1 control panel.

Thanks for your response.

Hostnine horror stories can be seen here so that's out of question. ResellerZoom also had their share of problems and I don't intended to go with them.

JodoHost is very good but, I don't want to go with H-Sphere based host ATM as it can't be integrated with WHMCS.

If you look at the Helm forums you'll see that it's not to solid at the moment....

Mikey this way!,

I recommend DotNetPanel for Windows, since they are a dedicated team. DotNetPanel is very powerful and allows Resellers to have Resellers. I have tried Helm and Plesk, and I am now with DotNetPanel. DNP team/developers are always updating their panel and releasing updates. They are very quick to update their panel, before WIndows 2008 was officially released...they made sure that their panel was compatible with the new OS and IIS7.

Of course this is a biased opinion, because this is what we use for our clients. I would recommend you putting a list together of what you want and expect out of a control panel and then go their sites and evaluate it. Go through demo's and everything. Then go with the control panel that you feel the most comfortable with.

May I ask you a question? What move you to use windows web hosting and more over resell it. I just want to add my 2 cents: windows web hosting is very difficult to resell. Becaus eit is not so popular. I hope you understand that.

Do you have some solid info or statistical references to back up your statement? Or are you just expressing your own personal opinion? I've been placing clients on Windows hosting for years and never once had one of them balk at the fact that they are on Windows hosting.

I was in the same boat as you, looking for essentially the same thing as all my clients are using custom Asp apps that I developed for them.

In spite of some of the biased opinions you read here, there are a lot of windows web hosts out there, but it's a daunting task to find the one that's right for you.

I ended up going with Eirca.net. I can't give you a full blown recommendation to go with them because I've only been with them for 2 weeks now, but I have to say so far it's been a fantastic experience. Support has been through the roof and the services, performance, and uptime are all great (so far).

They are an H-sphere host so you can resell windows and linux. You can have asp, .net, php, perl, blah, blah, blah, along with the usual offering of 1-click installs.

While I'm not telling you to blindly run into their arms, I will say it would be worth your while to give them a call to see if they meet what you need.

I am using M6.net, they are a purely Windows hoster and had been quite reliable. Their new controlpanel is Plesk which may be just what you need. They do have some reps here I believe.

To follow up...

According to Netcraft, of 165,719,150 sites reviewed, IIS is used in 35.33% of the site, where Apache is used in 50.42% of the sites. So to say that Apache is more popular than IIS is very true, but your claim that IIS is "not so popular" is completely unfounded.

Sorry.... I didn't understood it

Even I would be interested in getting some solid figures from 'You' regarding your statement of Windows not 'so popular'.

I'm amazed that you're finding them reliable. I signed up for an account with them and had a horrible experience. I had submitted a number of tickets with them to get basic features working, things that were supposedly included with the account. Every response to my tickets or follow to get a status was replied to with "we have escalated your request to level 3 blah blah blah". I gave up after 3 days and canceled my account.

I didn't do my homework up front... afterwards I researched them and found nothing but blistering negative reviews of them.
