    how to change ssh server name on ssh software

    Hi,


    when i ssh my server and it always shows ip of the server on the left,

    it is as my attaching file shows,

    i want to ask how can i change it to my server name?

    You need to edit the putty setting yourself. You will need to first save the connection setting first then edit the following.

    Putty -> Window -> Behaviour

    It cannot changed permanently it seems. You need to change the way tanfwc said each time you login to the server. You can save the server IP or hostname in any name you wish in the putty, so that you need to select that name and connect.
