So after a not so happy start with VolumeDrive, I canceled and need a new hosting provider.
Not happy with VolumeDrive, one can only assume due to the BurstNET issues... so logically instead of raising your price to find a higher quality provider, you're looking for another server in the $50 range and don't think the same crap is going to happen again?
Have you considered raising your budget or maybe even doubling it and save yourself a few headaches down the road?
Yeah I don't think you'll be able to find that. Your expectations are to high. If i'm thinking about it correctly 3TB would work out to be 10Mbps and you can't get that for 50 a month. just remember, you get what you pay for.
I was not affected by this outage. (Didn't noticed much, I noticed some ping/package loss few times but nothing more than that) but it's been a while since I was reported ping/package loss (monitoring 1 minute).
I found one at $60 and I'm absolutely ecstatic about it!
The BEST customer support EVEN friendlier than josh (was at times).
Great Absolutely GREAT speeds and GOOD latency <35 ms to it and <80 ms to Google (from here).
The server gets a ping to Google of just 21 ms.
Cheap and FAST, got a great 3.1 Ghz P4 with 1 GB DDR and 160 GB SATA.
I'll be staying with them for a while it seems...

I spent that much on lunch today. I can't imagine you get anything good for 50$.
