New layout
Hi folks,
I have this problem where it's very hard for me to judge my own design work - it's never quite good enough. To that end, I'd like to hear what the WHT community thinks of my new design for my portfolio site. Could you all give it a look and let me know what you like/dislike? Thanks,
Dave

I think it looks quite nice, clean and simple.
However, I would suggest working on a new color scheme. The gray, blue, and... beige? don't seem to go so well together.
And the two colors are hard to view against the gray background.

The Home page is absolute bad. Use better graphics or Flash intro. Portfolio page looks excellent. Good job.

I actually dig the color scheme- very subtle! I, however, am not too crazy about that splash page. Needs something extra...

Thanks so much everyone for the comments. I pretty sure I'm going to keep the color scheme - I was indeed going for a subtle and delicate look (as mina_babe pointed out). I also agree the splash page might need a little something extra - though I still want the minimalist look - I'll have to work on that...
Anyway, thanks again! Your comments were very helpful.

The loading time was never slow but the color scheme looks poor.

that pastel light brown on the submenu's makes it too hard to locate items quickly because of difficult visibility. I really like the site though.

The fonts on the drop down menu are too small. Work more on it.

I really like the general design. My only problem is the very small gray text. I am not sure if it is the size or color that makes it difficult to read. Other than that don't change a thing. Looks great!
