    Online Mac ad... very funny

Just saw this Apple/Mac ad for the first time... and I didn't even get it the first time I saw it

    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/
(skyscraper ad in the right margin)

Did you see the "big picture" the first time? Pretty neat I think!

    That's pretty clever...

I did catch it the first time, but only about halfway through.

I have seen this ad before... On the Windows Vista introduction page on cNet.com! Amazing, what an agressive marketing.

What in the heck are you guys talking about? There is no skyscraper ad in the right margin or anywhere else on that page and I don't have any ad block programs enabled.

Yeah same here. I see no apple ad there. Could be country targeted though.

hmm... seems the ad is now gone.

It was one of those "Hi I'm a Mac... and I'm a PC..." ads in the skyscraper position. There was also a 468x60 ad above it that had the words "Don't give up on Vista" in lights, but they weren't lit up. SO then the PC guy presses this big button he has that's supposed to light up that banner, but it only lights up "... give up on Vista" (the "don't" won't light up). And so it goes...

I just thought it was neat the way they used two different ad spots seemingly linked together.

So either the ad ran its course, or Microsoft requested they take down the ad

Haha funny stuff. Clever ad. I think the whole Mac vs. PC thing is going a little too far now though.

The PC guy was in Baby Mama as the doctor which everytime I saw the trailer I thought it was funny, tried explaining it to the people I was at the theaters with but they didn't understand.

Apple does have some very good commercials. And this is coming from a person who really doesn't like Macs at all. I bow down to their supremacy! I'm not worthy, i'm not worthy!

The PC is also a correspondent on the Daily Show... but his name escapes me at the moment.

    EDIT: It's John Hodgman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hodgman
